Gabriella Elio

CEO and Founder Stockholm

I’m a sucker for being creative and putting the puzzle together. That’s the step I enjoy most. Getting ideas and make them happen! It’s such a satisfactory part to see piece by piece being finalized to a real thing you visioned. This is what drives me when I do makeups, working on my brand or exercising . It means the world to me when I do makeup on someone and see their face when they look into the mirror. Their whole face shines up with a huge smile. And many of them are so chocked that they can actually look this good! And you see how their whole body language, voice and eyes changes in a second. They get more confident, happy and behave more in a feminine. My name is Gabriella and I’m passionate about beauty and female empowerment. I grew up in the beauty industry and my addiction has always been training apart from buying hundreds of nude lipsticks and still looking for the perfect foundation. I’m living my dream with having my own brand which means I travel constantly. Training brings so much balance to my life and keeps me sane. I mean I even though it’s hard for me to find time for training some days, you can see me at different airports doing power walks while waiting on my flight.

What drives you? What does ‘making a difference’ mean to you?

I love running uphill outdoors and also to train with my amazing trainer Victor. We have different workouts everyday. I recently did a trekk at Mount Everest/Himalaya. And I really really enjoyed walking 4-8h per day and being out in the stunning surroundings.

Tell us a story from your past that has really shaped you. What did you learn?

Once I got sick and got so nervous about the outcome. My mother told me that I can’t believe the doctors and that they can actually be wrong. So she told me to ignore what they said and just stay positive and pray. That’s when I realized the power of placebo. 3 months later I was perfect.

If you could travel back in time… what piece of advice would to give to yourself ten years ago?

Don’t take advice from people about how to live your live. Everyone is unique and has their own path. Usually a person gives you an advice out of their perspective of how life should be lived and from their own comfort zone. I mean you chosen a different path and your choices are very different from another persons. And hey, don’t take things too serious. I mean if they don’t matter in 2 years. Don’t even bother.

What does your morning routine look like?

I wake up early and reply to all the emails that came in during the night from Asia and the US. After that I’m extremely stressed to make it to the gym and fire off one hour with my personal trainer Victor Wolfgang.

What bio or life hack would you like to share with the world?

If you want something. Be consistent. Try. And then try again harder. I usually tell people around me that everything at work that can go wrong usually goes wrong. So be prepared to wipe things up.  The funny part is that no ones sees the cranky way so they think you just snapped your fingers and then everything is perfect like magic. And also the most important thing. Always be nice to everyone. You have no idea what people are going through.

When are you most happy? Where is your happy place?

When I’m in the sun somewhere far away from stress and hectic life, laughing at silly things with my friends and family.

It sounds silly but I learned that I’m my own happy place. It’s all in your head.

What’s your favorite type of training? Why is training important for you and your career?

I love running uphill outdoors and also to train with my amazing trainer Victor. We have different workouts everyday.

Training keeps me sane and balanced. And I want my body to last and feel strong.

What does your training routine look like?

It’s a combine with pulse and building muscles. I don’t have a particular schedule. I usually walk everywhere in Stockholm and when I’m traveling in different cities. I get the chance to see things and I also do the necessary phone calls etc between meetings on my walks or just listens to music. So I get at least 1-3h walk every day.

What’s next? What are your ambitions for the future?

I wish to stay happy and work with what I love the most. To make the world a more beautiful place.
