Ulrika Fohgelberg Norden

Partner Stockholm

I’m a Swedish woman living in Stockholm. I work as a sales manager and partner in the Swedish fashion brand Stylein. I love all the great stuff in life such as food, art, music, fashion and of course training is a big part of my life. Me and my husband travel a lot and we love to share our gems on our travel Instagram, @roadtripofourlife.

What drives you? What does ‘making a difference’ mean to you?

One thing that drives me is exploring new things, it can be a finding the perfect new design for a piece we are working on, exploring a new city, a new workout form or a new restaurant. Making a difference for me is being able to inspire people, both in life or in setting goals.

Tell us a story from your past that has really shaped you. What did you learn?

I became a vegetarian 17 years ago, for me that was a big awakening and it gave me new knowledge of my body and what I feel good about. Nowadays eating greens is much easier, especially when eating out. But back in the days if you asked for a nonmeat dish, you would get a pasta with tomatoes or pesto. Today I’m a proud veggie and it feels good both for the body and the environment.

If you could travel back in time… what piece of advice would to give to yourself ten years ago?

Don’t take everything too seriously and don’t focus on what other people think about you. Life is to short not to follow your heart and take chances!

What does your morning routine look like? How do you maintain balance in your life? What bio or life hack would you like to share with the world?

I always start the day with an espresso, standing in the kitchen, or on weekends in bed served by my husband. After bicycling to work I have breakfast, the best meal of the day according to me and It makes my blood sugar balanced for the rest of the day. I love a fresh sourdough roll and a ginger shot to boost my immune system.

I always return to the phrase, Face it… Fuck it!

When are you most happy? Where is your happy place?

I have one destination I always return to… that’s Tulum in Mexico. Me and my husband keep coming back every year. We always stay at a small beach hotel at the end of the road. I love the long walks on the beach, doing morning yoga in the garden and sipping on a margarita in the hammock.

What’s your favorite type of training? Why is training important for you and your career?

I like variation when it comes to training and I love to combine different types of workouts. On a normal week I try to do yoga, running, some gym time and my favourite right now, Megaformer training. When I’m out traveling or spend time at my summer house I also play tennis, go for hikes in the mountains and I love skiing. A workout makes me head clear, keeps my stress levels low and it gets me focused I always bring my trainers when I’m away, just squeezing in a 20 min run makes a big difference for the wellbeing!

What’s next? What are your ambitions for the future?

I´m preparing for the winter so now I´m working on my legs for the upcoming skiing season! My dream is to go heliskiing in north of Sweden. A strong body and a strong mind is my way to stay balanced, you never know what the future will bring.
